Schedule for Boondocking Rally Feb 9-11 in Lake City, FL

We have put together the schedule for the “How to Boondock in your Airstream” Rally. If you have interest in attending, please let us know so we can buy the food supplies. Presently there are about 24 rigs signed up to attend.

Boondocking Rally Feb. 9-12, 2010

Schedule

Tuesday, Feb. 9

Arrive anytime during the day

4:30 P.M. Welcome Meeting and social time
6:00 P.M. Dinner: Chili, Salad, Bread (bring your drink, place setting, & chair for all meals)
7:30 P.M. Campfire, indoor games, and social time

Wednesday, Feb. 10

8:30 A.M. Breakfast (if weather permits i.e. temperature or rain)
9:30 A.M. Introduction to Boondocking- Conservation of power, Use of Batteries & Generators
11:30 A.M. Lunch on your own
1:30 P.M. Introduction to Solar Power
4:30 P.M. Social time
6:00 P.M. Dinner: Pork Chops, Green Beans, Salad, Bread
&:30 P.M. Campfire, indoor games, and social time

Thursday, Feb. 11

8:30 A.M. Breakfast (if weather permits i.e. temperature or rain)
9:30 A.M. Conservation of fresh water and waste water
How to stay warm or cool
Safety
11:30 A.M. Lunch on your own
Afternoon Free Time
4:30 P.M. Social Time
6:00 P.M. Dinner: Steak, Baked Potato, Salad, Bread
7:30 P.M. Campfire and closing critique/discussions

I’ve added two new pages to the Unit website. The new pages are labeled “Presidents of the Big Bend Florida Unit - 1974-2009″ and “Charter Members - 1974″. These pages were in the larger membership directory, but have been omitted in the newer brief version of the directory.

Everyone plan to attend our Christmas dinner December 5 5 PM EST at the Elk’s Club in Tallahassee. The cost is $14 per person and your payment should made to Carol Montague by November 30. Also bring a wrapped gift for a child as we will send them on to Toys for Tots. Be prepared for good companionship, food and door prizes.
